The Trail description
The trail connects Vernazza with Monterosso. Start your trip from Vernazza and proceed towards the railway station. Having passed it, you will see the route indicators. If you move from Monterosso, go to the historical centre, then go up the central road, where you can also find the indicators.
An ancient sanctuary of Liguria Nostra Signora di Soviore can be reached within 1 hour 20 minutes on the way from Monterosso. The sanctuary is surrounded with century-old zen oaks. There the route intersects the longest trail of the Park (more details are here: The High Path - AV5T (ex. #1).
There is one more sanctuary near Vernazza: Nostra Signora di Reggio. You can find a meadow with benches there, where you can have a rest and get restocked with fresh water.
As opposed to simpler route Vernazza - Monterosso, this one passes through the top of the hills, olive trees and vineyards, and needs great stamina and time. On the other hand, you can see the Cinque Terre Park from the other angle.
