The Cinque Terre card: the entrance fee for hiking trails
There are more than thirty popular trails in the Cinque Terre, only four of them are paid (the shortest stretches between the villages). The ticket costs 7.50 euros in 2024 (prices are increased during weekends and peak season) and you can buy it at the entrance. The ticket is valid for one day and allows you to visit all the four stretches. Even if you want to walk in only one stretch, you need to buy the Cinque Terre Card. Starting in 2024, you must pay an additional 10€ to visit the smallest but most popular section, the Path of Love (Via dell'Amore).
Please note: there is also a ticket which allows you to travel by train. Please specify which ticket exactly you need before buying any. Is it cost-effective to buy The Cinque Terre ticket + train? The most popular Cinque Terre trails
When it comes to popularity among the tourists, four stretches of the Azure Trail are uppermost, because they are short, easy to hike and take the least time to do it. Still, long-distance strolls by the Cinque Terre hillsides have its own enchantment (please see “Popular long-distance trails - Details with the map”). Visit these two pages or use the map to choose the appropriate hiking trail.

Visiting the hiking trails in the Cinque Terre with a baby carriage or wheelchair
The shortest part of the Azure Trail, which is called the Path of Love, is the only trail which is suitable for a stroll with a baby carriage or a wheelchair. In contrast, you will have to overcome hills and through narrow passages while walking the other trails, that's a given. Outside the Cinque Terre, in Levanto town, there is a specially constructed pedestrian tunnel for baby carriages and wheelchairs. The tunnel itself does not consist of concrete walls only, but there are entrances to open spaces with breath-taking coastline views. It takes only four minutes to get to Monterosso from Levanto by train.
